Lamborghini miura concept presented
at L.a. auto show
Famed supercar maker Lamborghini
taps deep into its mid-1960s heritage, teasing the public
with a striking Miura concept for the January 2006 Los
Angeles Auto Show.
The Miura concept was created in
part to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original
Miura, which was introduced in 1966. The Miura was among
the first automobile designs offered by Lamborghini,
and it's generally credited as the world's first mass-production
mid-engine supercar.
This new incarnation of the Miura
is strictly a concept, but Lamborghini says it isn't
ruling out the idea of a production version.
The Miura concept will also be
on display at the upcoming North American International
Auto Show, in Detroit.
