Lexus LS 460 INTRODUCED AT DETROIT AUTO SHOW

Lexus showed the production version of the all-new 2007 LS 460 sedan. The car is powered by a dohc 380-hp 4.6-liter V8, coupled to a new eight-speed automatic transmission. According to Lexus, the potent drivetrain allows impressive 5.5-second 0-60 mph times.

The LS 460 will be offered with such high-tech luxury options as Smart Card keyless entry, reclining/massaging rear seat, and 19-speaker Mark Levinson audio.

For 2008, Lexus plans to offer a gas-electric hybrid version, which currently has the working designation of LS 600h. The LS 600h will be introduced at the New York International Auto Show.
