ASCARI A10 SUPERCAR IS SET TO DEBUT IN MID 2006

British supercar maker Ascari will soon introduce a follow up to its first design, the KZ1. The new car, called the A10, is based on the firm's Spanish GT Race Car.

The A10 is powered by a 600-hp 5-liter V8, teamed with standard six-speed manual or optional sequential-manual transmission. The body is made of carbon fiber, and the entire car weighs just 1,280Kg. Top speed is 220 mph, according to Ascari.

The car is currently being tested and prepared for a summer-2006 introduction. Ascari plans to build 50 A10s, selling for around £350,000 each.
